A unique mixture of folk, roots, blues and world music
in the glorious East Sussex countryside
It is something that has been discussed at committee level for a few years but now we have finally made it happen. The Black Horse Festival committee is pleased to announce that the Black Horse Festival 2010 will be moving to a new bigger and better site at the Pestalozzi International Village in Sedlescombe, less than two miles away from the original venue.
Here we will finally be able to offer the full festival experience on a relaxed family-friendly safe site where we can provide camping, bed and breakfast, craft stalls, a classy bar and good food.
The concept will not change, still keeping the usual respected line-up of Blues, Folk, World and the favourite party night, but now there will be an additional acoustic stage. Both stages will supply live music all day and there will be no break between afternoon and evening!
We have some great artists lined up including Ade Edmondson & the Bad Shepherd's, Baka Beyond, King King (who are causing a major stir in the Blues scene) and from Chicago, Steve Arvey, with more to come. The full line up will be released in the next couple of weeks.
The bar will be provided by White's brewery from Bexhill who will be pouring their award wining Ales and they have promised us unique 'festival ale'
Tickets are available to buy now and we will be offering an 'earlybird' weekend ticket for just £50. Day tickets and special deals for children and young people are also available.
The Black Horse Festival has gone through many changes over the years and if it was not for the hard work of many committee members past and present this fantastic event would not have survived. We have not changed the concept or the integrity of the festival and still hope to bring new and exciting music to the area and we hope these new initiatives, added to the success of last years event, will hurl the Black Horse Festival into the 21st century and secure it's future.
Enjoy the festival experience just up the road.
So check around to find out about buying your tickets, the line-up, camping details, craft stalls and how, for a few hours volunteering, you can get a free weekend pass and free camping.
